A Blizzard of Startup Knowledge from Catalant

A Blizzard of Startup Knowledge from Catalant

Every day on VentureApp, people chat with their business network about various topics and we host Office Hours, giving our users a unique opportunity to connect one-on-one with influencers, experts, entrepreneurs, and investors. Here’s what we’re chatting about today…

Catalant (FKA HourlyNerd) is one of Boston tech’s gems. The company raised a small seed round in 2013 and then hit the after burners with considerable follow on investments every year after that – $4M in 2014, $8M in 2015, and just $22M more in 2016.

Raising capital is not easy, in fact, it’s very difficult. I know the media (TechCrunch, BostInno, etc) talk about it like money just falls off VC trees, but it does not. It takes an incredible team and an even more incredible product, traction, revenue, etc., to be able to close any amount of outside investment – never mind $33 million.

I’ve been lucky enough to know Pat Petitti and the Catalant team for a few years now and they have a fascinating growth story. One of the most impressive feats of the team is the ability to efficiently scale up the company from a tiny startup to a tech powerhouse in just a few years.

As you can tell I am excited about today’s chat at 11 am and I don’t want you to miss out on an opportunity to get some 1:1 time with one of Catalant’s founders.

Sign on to VentureApp this morning and get ready – Pat will be joining us at 11am.

And remember, VentureApp allows you to connect with experts and network with other businesses from the comfort of your own home or office. So turn up the internet and bring on the snow.
